The Basement Era

We decided in order to not spend a ton of money on finishing our basement right now we would instead look into how to make it functional unfinished.  We looked into rugs and other methods but ultimately decided it would be best to carpet the area we wanted to make into a play area for the kiddos.  The carpet was installed on Thursday and we have pretty much spent every moment we are all awake down there.  I would say it is a hit :)

Christmas Lights

We decided to put Christmas Lights up on the house this year. We have sworn to do each year but this year we finally pulled the trigger. I wasn't home during the reaction of the kids seeing it but luckily, thanks to text I got to experience what happened:

Christmas Time

Christmas time is here!  We are in full swing in the Ski Household and loving every minute of it.  We've decorated the tree and even have lights up on the house!  Oh yes, Christmas time is definitely here!

Not in Kansas Anymore

We're still adjusting to living in the county from the city. This week proved to us we no longer live on a busy street. Each morning I go up around 6:45am to get Libby up and look out the window. This is my way of knowing the forecast since I do not trust the weather people on the news. I was shocked to see NINE deer behind our house in the yard behind ours. I immediately started screaming for Jim...which is NOT a good idea when you are pregnant but it still got him up pretty fast. The deer were beautiful and have been back several times over the past few days so it must be a good spot for them. Libby thinks they are big dogs. We are definitely not on Delmar anymore!
