Food Woes
It has been awhile since I gave an update on how Libby was doing with normal people food. She’s doing really well thanks to our awesome daycare. There is definitely an improvement past just getting the same old thing. It isn’t perfect yet but she wants whatever Mommy and Daddy are eating now and will always take a bite of anything. This is HUGE!! The “yuck” faces are still there (and are still adorable) but at least she’s trying new things! She always eats anything at the daycare and won’t eat the same things at home. I am starting to accept this but I can’t help but think it is my cooking. ;)
Bubbles
(I thought this was funny – at my expense =) )
Last week Libby’s teachers told me she said, “I can see bubbles” when I was picking her up. They were proud of this but I was concerned. “So, she said I can see bubbles,” I said concerned. The three teachers said yes proudly and explained she then ran all around the playground squealing. I was confused and asked if she was overheated or what could cause her to see spots randomly. What they failed to explain to me is her teacher Mrs Jenn was blowing bubbles. Whew!

Vocabulary and Attitude
Libby’s vocab is exploding. Everyday there is a new word and sometimes that is a good thing and sometimes a bad. She’s doing really well with full sentences and what she lacks in vocab she makes up for with an attitude. We pretty much know what she does and does not want to do now. Usually the things she wants to do go much smoothly and without as many tears. =) Have you ever seen a Charlie Brown cartoon where when something goes wrong the character will hang his or her head down and a sad song is played in the background? Well, that’s my kiddo…only with a bottom lip that sticks out and tears. It doesn’t matter how simple the thing is, this routine is usually what happens. The latest thing that causes this to happen is not letting her walk under the table. She just looooves to do this even though she’s getting to tall and could scrape her head on the metal items on the bottom of the table. Of course, you cannot reason with an 18 month old!!

Pigtails!
I just thought I had to post this picture...not only because Libby looks a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e in her pigtails but also because that was her face when she found her Mickey Mouse doll in the toy bin. too cute!
