5th Birthday!
Libby and my niece, Zoe's, birthday are 4 weeks a part. To save some time, money and energy for us and our families we decided to do a joint birthday party for our families this year. Of course the theme was princess and the girls had a blast. It was adorable! I cannot believe how much they have changed over the years.
What I found really funny is how much they are like sisters...look at them checking each other's cupcakes out!
Girlies you two are the best!

TJ's Day (2012)
It's become tradition that for each birthday, they get to have me all to themselves and do anything they want to do. I started it with Libby's first birthday and luckily have been able to do it ever since. Last Friday I spent the day with TJ. I couldn't do the Friday before his birthday but was able to do the one after. We started out by going to Breadco for bagels. We had sat down for about 5 minutes before TJ had decided he had had enough of this!
So onto the zoo we went where we explored and got to see more animals than I have seen in a long time. The day was gorgeous, the zoo was packed, and TJ and I had so much fun!
He eventually got tired and fell asleep on the way home. After he woke up we went grocery shopping. I thought Libby was the best grocery shopping partner but how can this little guy not be in the running?
Then we ended up playing outside for about an hour before going to collect his big sister at school. We had so much fun! Cannot wait till next year!

TJ turns TWO!!!
I am still not sure how it happened but my baby is two now. We decided to have a small party with just family this year (so please don't feel excluded).
We had an angry bird cake.
Lit the candle to celebrate our little man
Sang happy birthday which delighted the birthday boy and made him shy
Blew out the candle with a little help from me and his sister
Destroyed the cupcake
Opened presents
He has really generous loved ones
But above all, we got to spend it with our family. There is no better way to celebrate my adorable two year old boy.

School: TJ's moving up!
TJ just moved to the 2 year old room last week. He's always had a bag to carry his stuff in but we decided it was time for an actual back pack (mostly because the bag seemed so babyish to me). I was not prepared for how grown up he would look with it though. Made me proud, happy, and sad all in one breath.
(Yes, those are his jammies...we seem to live in our PJ's here)

Crafty
I recently decided that we needed to rethink how our craft/art supplies were stored. The kids NEVER played with them and the table always seemed to be so full of stuff they didn't have anywhere to "work". So we bought another bucket storage system (LOVE THESE) and now they kids can see everything and have doing something daily (at least) at their craft/art table - especially while I make dinner or lunch. It has been absolutely wonderful. I love watching their eyes light up as they create something new!!
